Before the works...

The pine floorboards in this Wandsworth house was looking tired and in desperate need of restoration. During our obligation-free survey, we did a thorough inspection of the floors and discussed with the client all possible options.

Our client has decided to go for floor sanding, floor repairs, gap filling, of pine floorboards and finishing the floors in satin Lacquer.

How we made it happen...

One of the challenges we experienced during this project was to complete the floor works in stages, due to furniture, which could not be moved out.

After our floor sanding experts have checked all property & service details on site, they started with lifting existing and its preparation for disposal to our waste facility.

Our works included wood floor restoration of approx. 35 sqm floorboards and finishing in 3 coats satin Lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 3 coats of Lacquer.

Our floor restoration service begins with detailed inspection of the floors and any repairs to the will be completed in this initial stage. In this project approx. we have repaired approx. 9 sqm of .

We also carried out gap filling as part of the wood floor sanding process. We aim to apply the resin filler with saw dust in the second half of the working day, so it settles properly overnight and we can repeat it on the following morning , if required. The resin gap filling is after that removed by next stages of the floor sanding process in medium grids .

Overall the project was completed as scheduled and to the satisfaction of the client.
