8 mm Laminate Flooring Plank

Laminate floors in 8 mm thickness offer slighly better stability than thinner planks, but remains classified as such. Underlays with thickness of 2-3 mm are recommended for this type flooring and respectively, they type of laminate flooring will be most appropriate for solid subfloors (concrete, plywood, chipboard) with very good level.

Laminate Flooring Installation

Laminate flooring is fairly easy to install, however as a product with an average thickness of only 8 mm and click system on the plank, this type of flooring can be sensitive to the level of the subfloor. The subfloor preparation work plays important part to the installation of the floors & their guarantee.

Concrete subfloors may need to be levelled with smoothing compound and any timber base, such as floorboards, may need to be prepared with 9 mm or 12 mm plywood prior to installation.
