Durable Lacquered Finish
Unlike the oiled finish, which seals the timber by soaking into the timber surface, the lacquer creates a protective surface layer on top. This makes the lacquer more durable and easier to maintain finish. It does not require re-coating and will take regular hoovering and spray mopping once in a while.
Modern lacquers are non-yellowing, water-based finishes with low VOC content, which are less affected by sunlight than the oil-based sealants and are available in various sheens like - ExtraMatt, Matt, Satin and Gloss.
Floor Fitting Service
The Timberlay Engineered Mocha Oak Flooring, Matt Lacquered, 190x3x14 Mm comes in a Click system plank. This is typical for products in 14 mm or 15 mm thickness - the most popular in engineered wood floors, due to the variety of colours and widths it offers. They are easy to install too and ideal for floating installations over concrete or timber subfloors. The click system flooring is the best choice for wooden floors on underfloor heating systems (UFH) and does not require use of any glue.
Click system flooring is quite sensitive to the subfloor level. When planks join together, they create their own plain and level, which when floated over uneven subfloor may cause bouncing. Therefore, some subfloor prep works may be required before considering a click system plank (if there is any concern with level). Failing to address these may cause as well squeaky noise, coming from the click system after the installation.

Deliveries
Most of our flooring product are usually available within 2 to 5 days, subject to current stock levels and offered FREE of charge, when delivered at the time or close to the booking date of our flooring services.
Delivery of flooring inside property to residential blocks or where access to the dwelling or work space is limited, will usually have "Heavy Goods" surcharge. Copy of our full Deliveries Terms is available here.
Any unopened flooring packs, in original condition can be returned within 14 days of delivery with 25% restocking charge. Cost of delivery back to base is paid by the customer.
