Before the works

Office floor sanding of this beautiful wood flooring in Islington was one of the many commercial floor renovation projects that we pride ourselves in. Similarly to other office floor sanding projects such as church halls, school floor restorations, floor sanding for pubs and restaurants, this project required us to be not only very professional in wood floor sanding and varnishing, but also we needed to be flexible in our working arrangements as we were required to work outside the usual working hours.

This was not a problem for us as we know that commercial floor sanding sometimes need to happen alongside other activities and we are more than capable of accomodating such requests.

How we did it...

Following the sanding of this commercial floors, they were sealed with commercial grade wood floor varnish Bona Traffic in Satin finish to ensure ultimate protection and durability for a long time.

Did you know this about oak flooring?

Oak wood is a durable and strong hardwood timber known for its distinct grain patterns and wide range of colors, from light brown to reddish tones. It has a coarse texture with prominent grain markings, making it a popular choice for furniture, flooring, cabinetry, and structural applications. Oak is highly resistant to wear, moisture, and insect damage, offering long-lasting durability. It takes staining in dark, light, greys and whites well, with lacquer and oil-based finishes. Another reason that makes it the most popular timber for wooden flooring offering versatility in both traditional and contemporary designs.
