Before the works
This engineered wood flooring was desperate for renovation after a long lasting tenancy. The new owners of the property were looking into sanding and resealing the existing 14 mm engineered planks with 3 mm top layer and seal it with durable matt lacquer.
Luckily, the floors were never sanded before and this was a great option for the young couple. However, we had to turn down the request to have the floors stained to a darker colour, as the process requires good and even thickness of the timber surface.
Stripping down a heavily worn 3 mm engineered top layer, will not offer suitable surface and may result a patchy effect after application of the stain.
