The maple solid wood flooring in this Sutton house was looking tired and in timely need of refinishing. During our obligation-free survey, we did a thorough inspection of the floors & discussed with the client all available choices, followed by itemised quote with our floor restoration & repairs prices for solid wood flooring.

Our client has decided to go for floor fitting and floor sanding of 24 sqm maple solid wood flooring and finishing the floors in Lacquer.

In this flooring project we laid 24 sqm of solid wood flooring, with floating installation, over .

Solid solid wood flooring floors are durable, long-lasting and therefore, we tend to find them in condition, which requires more work & preparation. Our team will re-inspect the floors for movement and in case it requires any repairs, prior to the floor sanding works.

During the solid maple floor restoration, the timber floors are going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealant application & between the coats, for perfect results.

As per our initial assessment, the subfloor was prepared with smoothing compound before the floor fitting works.

Our works included approx. 24 sqm maple solid wood flooring floor sanding and finishing in lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 3 coats of Bona Mega lacquer.

Due to the change of level, after the new flooring was installed - our experienced, local Sutton floor fitters made sure all affected doors & door frames are trimmed to height and adjusted to new flooring.

Overall, this floor fitting project was completed as scheduled by our local to Sutton floor fitters and the new floors met the expectations and the delight of the client.
