The oak engineered wood flooring in this Sutton house was looking tired and in serious need of restoration. During our free site survey, we did a thorough inspection of the floors & discussed with the client all possible options, followed by detailed quote with our floor sanding & repairs pricing.
Our client has decided to go for floor sanding and staining of 87 sqm oak engineered wood flooring and finishing the floors in extra-matt Lacquer.
How we completed this oak engineered wood flooring renovation...
Engineered wood flooring comes with different depth of the top layer. During the initial survey, we have confirmed the remaining thickness however, our team will make sure again, there is enough thickness before starting the floor renovation works.
During the oak engineered floor sanding, the entire timber surface is going through a sanding process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealing & between the coats, for outstanding results.
In this project we also stripped oak staircase with steps & risers. Our stairs sanding & sealing service includes finishing with various choices, preference of the client - clear lacquer, staining or paint (for wooden floors).
Our works included approx. 87 sqm oak engineered wood flooring floor restoration and finishing in extra-matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Mega Natural lacquer.
A number of colour samples were provided on a sanded surface for the client to review and approve, prior to application of the colour and finishing the floors. The client decided to go with engineered wood flooring staining in whitewash colour.
Overall, this floor sanding project in Sutton was completed as scheduled and to the delight of the client.
