Before the works...
The oak solid wood flooring in this Barbican flat was looking tired and in timely need of restoration. During our obligation-free survey, we did detailed inspection of the wooden floors & discussed with the client all possible options, followed by itemised quote with our floor restoration & repairs prices for solid wood flooring.
Our client has decided to go for floor sanding of 56 sqm oak solid wood flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.
How we carried out this oak solid wood flooring renovation...
Solid solid wood flooring floors are durable, long-lasting and therefore, we tend to find them in condition, which requires more work & preparation. Our team will re-inspect the floors for movement and in case it requires any repairs, prior to the floor sanding works.
During the solid oak floor sanding, the entire area is going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to the application of the sealant & between the coats, for excellent results.
In this project we also restored oak staircase with steps & risers. Our stairs sanding & sealing service includes finishing with various choices, preference of the client - clear lacquer, staining or paint (for wooden floors).
Our works included approx. 56 sqm oak solid wood flooring floor renovation and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Junckers HT700 lacquer.
Overall, this floor sanding project in Barbican was completed as originally planned and to the satisfaction of the client.
