Before the works...
The oak parquet flooring at Woolwich Town Hall was looking tired and in serious need of renovation. During our obligation-free survey, we did a thorough inspection of the wooden floors & discussed with the client all available choices, followed by comprehensive quote with our floor restoration & repairs prices for parquet flooring.
Our client has decided to go for floor sanding, gap filling and floor repairs of 210 sqm oak parquet flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.
How we carried out this oak parquet flooring restoration...
Parquet flooring comprises of many small wooden pieces forming a pattern. Our team will carefully inspect the floors for movement and hollowness, and take further steps on this stage, if required.
During the oak parquet flooring renovation the timber floors are going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to the application of the sealant & between the coats, for outstanding results.
Our works included approx. 210 sqm oak parquet flooring floor sanding and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 3 coats of Junckers HT700 lacquer (previously known as Junckers Hp Commercial).
Our floor refinishing service begins with detailed inspection of the floors and any repairs to the parquet flooring will be completed in this initial stage. In this project we lifted & refitted approx. 40 sqm of parquet flooring.
We also carried out gap filling as part of the wood floor sanding process. We aim to apply resin filler in late hours of the working day, so it settles properly overnight and in case it is needed we can repeat it on the following day, if required. The filler is after that removed by next step of the finishing process with medium grids.
Overall, the floor renovation project in The Woolwich Centre was completed as planned and to the delight of the client.
