Before the works...
The oak parquet flooring in this Battersea house was looking tired and in urgent need of restoration. During our obligation-free survey, we did detailed inspection of the floors & discussed with the client all possible options, followed by itemised quote with our floor sanding & repairs prices.
Our client has decided to go for floor sanding of 66 sqm oak parquet flooring and finishing the floors in extra-matt Lacquer.
How we carried out this oak parquet flooring restoration...
Parquet flooring comprises of a large amount of small flooring pieces forming a pattern. Our floor men will carefully inspect the floors for loose blocks and hollowness, and take steps on this stage, if required.
During the oak parquet flooring restoration the entire area is going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealing & between the coats, for perfect results.
Our works included approx. 66 sqm oak parquet flooring floor sanding and finishing in extra-matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Mega Natural lacquer.
Overall, this floor renovation project in Battersea was completed as planned and to the delight of the client.
