How carried out this oak engineered wood flooring restoration...
Engineered wood flooring comes with different depth of the top layer. During the site survey, we have checked the remaining thickness however, our team will make sure again, there is sufficient depth before starting the floor renovation works.
During the oak engineered floor renovation, the entire area is going through a sanding process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to the application of the sealant & between the coats, for perfect results.
Our works included approx. 63 sqm oak engineered wood flooring floor renovation and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Traffic lacquer.
Overall, this floor restoration project in Camden Town was completed as originally planned and to the delight of the client.

Oak wood is a durable and strong hardwood timber known for its distinct grain patterns and wide range of colors, from light brown to reddish tones. It has a coarse texture with prominent grain markings, making it a popular choice for furniture, flooring, cabinetry, and structural applications. Oak is highly resistant to wear, moisture, and insect damage, offering long-lasting durability. It takes staining in dark, light, greys and whites well, with lacquer and oil-based finishes. Another reason that makes it the most popular timber for wooden flooring offering versatility in both traditional and contemporary designs.
