Before the works...
The oak solid wood flooring in this Weybridge house was looking tired and in timely need of renovation. During our free site survey, we did detailed inspection of the floors & discussed with the client all possible options, followed by itemised quote with our floor sanding & repairs pricing.
Our client has decided to go for floor sanding of 40 sqm oak solid wood flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.
How we completed this oak solid wood flooring restoration...
One of the challenges we faced during the floor works was to complete the floor works in stages, due to bulky pieces of furniture, which could not be moved out.
Solid solid wood flooring floors are durable, long-lasting and therefore, we often find them in condition, which requires more time & care. Our team will re-inspect the floors for movement and in case it requires any repairs, prior to the restoration works.
During the solid oak floor sanding, the entire area is going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealing & between the coats, for excellent results.
Our works included approx. 40 sqm oak solid wood flooring floor renovation and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Mega Natural lacquer.
Overall, this floor renovation project in Weybridge was completed as planned and to the delight of the client.
