How we completed this oak parquet flooring restoration...
Parquet flooring comprises of many small wooden pieces forming a pattern. Our technicians will carefully inspect the floors for movement and hollowness, and take steps on this stage, if required.
During the oak parquet flooring sanding the timber floors are going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to the application of the sealant & between the coats, for outstanding results.
Our works included approx. 25 sqm oak parquet flooring floor renovation and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Mega lacquer.
Our floor renovation service begins with detailed inspection of the floors and any repairs to the parquet flooring will be completed in this initial stage. In this project we supplied matching material and extended approx. 4 sqm of parquet flooring around the fireplace hearth, which has been recently replaced.
We also carried out gap filling as part of the floor restoration process. We aim to apply the resin filler with saw dust in the end of the working day, so it settles properly overnight and in case it is needed we can repeat it on the following day, if required. The putty is after that removed by next step of the finishing process with medium grids.
Overall, this floor renovation project in Watford was completed as planned and to the satisfaction of the client.
