Before the works...
In this Wood Green flat we installed approx. 14 sqm of oak lvt flooring. During our obligation-free survey, we did a thorough inspection of the floors and discussed with the client all available options, followed by itemised quote with our floor installation prices for lvt flooring.
Our client decided to go for floor fitting and subfloor preparation with installation of 14 sqm oak lvt flooring with primed MDF tourus skirting boards around perimeter.
How we completed the floor installation works...
After our team have checked all service, property & products details on site, including the amount of product supplied, they started with lifting existing hardwood flooring and its preparation for disposal to our waste facility.
in this project we installed 14 sqm of lvt flooring - Everlock Titan Smoked White with over hardwood flooring onto Duralay Excel Silver 3.7 mm underlay with DPM barrier .
LVT flooring product is very thin and requires an excellent subfloor level. Our luxury vinyl floor (LVT) fitting service will make sure we comply with appropriate level for this product.
When wooden floors are originally laid, an expansion gap of approx. 10 mm is left around the perimeter. This gap is either covered by new skirting boards, or in case the old ones remain - scotia or quadrant beading will be installed around the perimeter.
In this project we installed primed MDF tourus skirting boards around the perimeter.
As per our initial assessment, the subfloor was prepared with smoothing compound before the floor installation.
Overall, this floor fitting project was completed as originally planned by our local to Wood Green floor fitters and the new floors met the expectations and the delight of the client.
