Floor Sanding & Sealing Oak Flooring

Before the works...

The oak engineered wood flooring in this Dulwich house was looking tired and in timely need of renovation. During our initial survey, we did detailed inspection of the wooden floors & discussed with the client all possible options, followed by detailed quote with our floor sanding & repairs pricing.

Our client has decided to go for floor sanding and stairs fitting of 88 sqm oak engineered wood flooring and finishing the floors in extra-matt Lacquer.

How we completed this oak engineered wood flooring renovation...

One of the challenges we faced during the floor works was to complete the floor works in stages, due to bulky pieces of furniture, which could not be removed from the rooms.

Engineered wood flooring comes with different thickness of the top layer. During the initial survey, we have identified the remaining thickness however, our team will make sure again, there is enough depth before starting the floor restoration works.

During the oak engineered floor restoration, the timber floors are going through a sanding process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to the application of the sealant & between the coats, for excellent results.

In this project we also stripped oak staircase with steps. Our stairs sanding & sealing service includes finishing with various choices, preference of the client - clear lacquer, staining or paint (for wooden floors).

Our works included approx. 88 sqm oak engineered wood flooring floor sanding and finishing in extra-matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Junckers HT700 lacquer.

Overall, this floor restoration project in Dulwich was completed as scheduled and to the satisfaction of the client.
