Before the works...
The pine floorboards in this Clapton house was looking tired and in serious need of refinishing. During our initial survey, we did detailed inspection of the wooden floors & discussed with the client all possible options, followed by detailed quote with our floor sanding & repairs pricing
Our client has decided to go for floor sanding and floor repairs of 46 sqm pine floorboards and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.
How we completed this pine floorboards restoration...
The thickness of the pine victorian floorboards used for properties is approx. 20 mm when laid. Pine timber shrinks with the time and also becomes thinner every time the floors are restored. The nominal thickness, after which floorboards cannot be restored any more is approx. 15 mm.
At this stage our team will inspect carefully the thickness of the floorboards and also advise if any further repairs or floorboards replacement may be recommended prior to the floor renovation works.
During the floorboards restoration, the entire area is going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealing & between the coats, for outstanding results.
Our works included approx. 46 sqm pine floorboards floor sanding and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Junckers HT700 lacquer.
Our floor renovation service begins with detailed inspection of the floors and any repairs to the floorboards will be completed in this initial stage. In this project we lifted & refitted approx. 10 sqm of .
Overall, this floor renovation project in Clapton was completed as originally planned and to the delight of the client.
