Before the works...
The teak mosaic finger panels in this Northwood flat was looking tired and in serious need of restoration. During our initial survey, we did detailed inspection of the wooden floors & discussed with the client all possible options, followed by detailed quote with our floor sanding & repairs pricing.
Our client has decided to go for floor sanding, floor repairs and gap filling of 44 sqm teak mosaic finger panels and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.
How we completed this teak mosaic finger panels renovation...
Our works included approx. 44 sqm teak mosaic finger panels floor sanding and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Junckers MT500 lacquer.
Our floor restoration service begins with detailed inspection of the floors and any repairs to the mosaic finger panels will be completed in this initial stage. In this project we lifted & refitted approx. 2 sqm of the fingers parquet flooring.
During the teak parquet flooring renovation the entire timber surface is going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealing & between the coats, for perfect results.
We also carried out gap filling as part of the floor refinishing process. We aim to apply resin filler in the end of the working day, so it settles properly overnight and in case it is needed we can repeat it on the following day, if required. The filler is after that removed by next step of the finishing process with medium grids.
Overall, this floor sanding project in Northwood was completed as planned and to the satisfaction of the client.
