Teak Parquet Flooring Repairs & Restoration

Before the works...

The teak parquet flooring in this Watford property was looking tired and in desperate need of renovation. During our free site survey, we did detailed inspection of the wooden floors & discussed with the client all available choices, followed by itemised quote with our floor restoration & repairs pricing for parquet flooring.

Our client has decided to go for floor sanding, gap filling and floor repairs of 30 sqm teak parquet flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.

How we carried out this teak parquet flooring renovation...

Parquet flooring comprises of large quantity of small wooden pieces forming a pattern. Our floor men will carefully inspect the floors for loose blocks and hollowness, and take steps on this stage, if required.

During the teak parquet flooring renovation the entire area is going through a sanding process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealing & between the coats, for perfect results.

Our works included approx. 30 sqm teak parquet flooring floor restoration and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Junckers HT700 lacquer (previously Junckers HP Commercial).

Our floor refinishing service begins with detailed inspection of the floors and any repairs to the parquet flooring will be completed in this initial stage. In this project we supplied matching material & replaced approx. 10 sqm of parquet flooring.

We also carried out gap filling as part of the floor refinishing process. We aim to apply resin filler in the second half of the working day, so it settles properly overnight and we can repeat it on the following morning, if required. The putty is after that removed by next step of the finishing process with medium grids.

Overall, this floor sanding project in Watford was completed as planned and to the satisfaction of the client.
