Before the works...
The oak parquet flooring in this Central London flat was looking tired and in desperate need of restoration. During our obligation-free survey, we did detailed inspection of the floors & discussed with the client all possible options, followed by itemised quote with our floor sanding & repairs prices.
Our client has decided to go for floor sanding and worktops restoration of 28 sqm oak parquet flooring and finishing the floors in matt Lacquer.
How we completed this oak parquet flooring restoration...
Parquet flooring comprises of large quantity of small wooden pieces forming a pattern. Our team will carefully inspect the floors for movement and hollowness, and take further steps on this stage, if required.
During the oak parquet flooring restoration the timber floors are going through a sanding process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to the application of the sealant & between the coats, for perfect results.
Our works included approx. 28 sqm oak parquet flooring floor sanding and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 2 coats of Bona Mega lacquer.
As part of the works our team also carried out approx. of wooden kitchen worktops restoration in the flat.
Overall, this floor restoration project in Central London was completed as originally planned and to the delight of the client.
