Before the works...
The teak solid wood flooring in the National Education Union main hall, Central London was looking tired and in timely need of refinishing. During our free site survey, we did a thorough inspection of the wooden floors & discussed with the client all possible options, followed by detailed quote with our floor sanding & repairs pricing.
Our client has decided to go for floor sanding of teak solid wood flooring and finishing the floors in Lacquer.
How we completed this teak solid wood flooring renovation...
Solid solid wood flooring floors are durable, long-lasting and therefore, we tend to find them in condition, which requires more work & care. Our team will re-inspect the floors for movement and in case it requires any repairs, prior to the renovation works.
During the solid teak floor restoration, the entire timber surface is going through a process of levelling with coarser grids, finishing with finer grids, and finally buffing, prior to sealant application & between the coats, for excellent results.
Our works included approx. 144 sqm teak solid wood flooring floor sanding and finishing in matt lacquer. The sealing went down with 1 coat of primer and 3 coats of Bana Traffic HD lacquer.
Overall, this floor restoration project at the National Education Union in Central London was completed as originally planned and to the satisfaction of the client.
